Great War Diary
The Rector of Campsea Ashe at the time of the Great War was the Rev Lucas. He wrote an excellent "Notes of Campsea Ashe" and included in this is a personal diary of the events of the Great War. As well as describing events overseas he also throws some light on what life was like in Campsea Ashe during the war.
Two members of the Campsea Ashe Heritage Group, Tina Hayward and Peter Carter, have transcribed his diary and it can be opened by clicking the following link:
