Village Recorder Report
The Heritage Group acts as official Village Recorder, a system administered by the Suffolk Local History Council (see https://slhc.org.uk/recorders/). The aims of the activity as specificed by the Council are:
• to ensure that the present is adequately recorded at local level, and
• to be on the look-out for items of historical interest which might be overlooked or lost for ever.
To do this Recorders are asked to note significant happenings in their area, especially the changes going on around them, and also to be on the look-out for older records and to record reminiscences of their area in the past.
Items for the record are included in the Village Today section of our website. At the end of each year a Recorder's Report is produced to summarise what has happened in the village during that year. The reports are included on the Village Today page as well as below.
