Local travel

Trains

The village is fortunate to have it's own railway station - albeit it is named after Wickham Market! Trains leave for Ipswich and for Lowestoft about once each hour. Tickets can be purchased from the Conductor on the train.

Click on the links below for a timetable and for the live departure board.

Cycling

Cycling is very popular in the area, not lweast because the area is relativley flat with no major hills to climb. There are several marked cycle routes through the village and a good number of cyclists start their journey from the railway station.

For those wanting more adventrous trails have a look at the mapmyride website or routeyou.

Footpaths

There are many clearly marked footpaths around the village which are reasonably well maintained. They are marked on OS Landranger map 156.

Two leaflets outling short local village trails around the Blackstock and Ash Row areas are available in the Church.
