Defibrillator

A defibrillator is sited at the Campsea Ashe Village Hall. To access it, dial 999, ask for the Ambulance Service and then ask for the code to the cabinet. See defibrillator page on this website.

Pharmacy

The nearest pharmacy is in Wickham Market, but for Campsea Ashe residents a pharmacy is available at the Wickham Market Medical Centre.

Dentist

The nearest NHS dental surgery is at Wickham Market.

 Local shops

The village shop reopened in 2019 and supplies groceries. Our two nearest small towns with facilities such as supermarkets, DIY and take away restaurants are Wickham Market (3 miles) and Framlingham (6 miles). Woodbridge (8 miles) is a larger town with riverside attractions as well as a theatre/cinema. The County town of Suffolk, Ipswich, is about 10 miles away and, like Woodbridge, is serviced by the train from Campsea Ashe.

 Vets

A number of Veterinary Practices are available at Wickham Market, Rendlesham and Woodbridge.

 Post

Post is collected once each day except Sunday from boxes near the village shop, the playground and Ivy Lodge Road. The nearest Post Office is at Wickham Market.

 Banking

There are no banks in the village, but a cash point is available at the Coop at Wickham Market. The Post Office in Wickham Market will handle many banking items. The nearest bank branches are in Woodbridge.

Refuse Collection

Bin emptying day for most of the village is on Wednesday from 7am. If you are not sure of what type of collection it is or haven't received a calendar, or have lost your copy, please call Suffolk Coastal Services on 01394 444000 or email [email protected] and they will confirm your collection day or send you a new calendar.

 Recycling

The village has a glass recycling centre next to the Village Hall Car Park. The proceeds are for the Village Hall upkeep.

 Recycling is also available by the Village Hall in Wickham Market.

 The nearest Council recycling centre is at Foxhall Road, IP10 0HT and is open most days other than Wednesday.

 Library

The mobile library calls at the Station car park once a month on a Wednesday between 10.35am and 10.55am. Contact:Tel: 07736007604

Many library services, including borrowing ebooks and access to enewspapers are available through the library.
